At Mafalda nursery school we carry out an educational project based on favouring the global development of children<\/strong>. Through movement and exploration<\/strong>, we encourage and stimulate learning at this early age. Our school is divided into 5 classrooms for the 3 levels of the first cycle of infant education. <\/p>\n

The nursery school is open all year round from 7:30 in the morning until 17:00 in the afternoon.<\/strong> It offers breakfast, dining room and nap<\/strong> service depending on the family’s needs. <\/p>\n

Our school currently has an agreement with the Ministry of Education of the Balearic Islands.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The hallmarks of the school<\/strong> are:
Our centre is apolitical, secular and plural. We believe in equality, tolerance and respect <\/strong>for all people without discrimination. The school’s vehicular language is Spanish. One of our main objectives is to help families in the upbringing stage<\/strong>, offering their children, an affective and nurturing space where they can learn and relate to their peers. The close relationship that is established with the families helps the family to understand the process of development and maturation of their children. We promote daily communication<\/strong>, as well as a close as<\/strong> cooperation and<\/strong> participation<\/strong> with the school in many activities. <\/p>\n

Psychomotor office<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

During their development, human beings learn, relate and express themselves through the body and its movement. Psychomotricity encourages the development of the person<\/strong> and their identity<\/strong>, while at the same time strengthening their capacity for expression, creation and communication. The psychomotor therapist attends to the difficulties of each person through observation and deep active listening. <\/p>\n

In our centre we attend to people (children, adolescents, adults) with difficulties in their development, in learning, in communication and in their relationship with others. ….<\/p>\n

\u25cf EARLY ATTENTION<\/strong>. Aimed at children with developmental delay, premature babies who have had foetal distress, neurological alterations or psychomotor delay in general.
\u25cf GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES<\/strong>. Aimed at those families who need support in the period of upbringing.
\u25cf DIAGNOSIS<\/strong>. Global assessment of the child: motor, emotional and affective, social and intellectual areas.
\u25cf PSYCHOMOTOR RE-EDUCATION<\/strong>. Aimed at children with movement, psycho-affective, emotional, intellectual and social difficulties. This therapy is carried out in small groups.
\u25cf INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOMOTOR THERAPY<\/strong>. Aimed at children, adolescents and adults who need specialised attention. This therapy is carried out on an individual basis.
\u25cf EMDR THERAPY<\/strong>. Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing therapy (EMDR) is an effective and widely researched method of psychotherapy. It has been shown to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences associated with problems. <\/p>\n

Our History<\/h1>\n

CEP Mafalda is privately owned, Early Childhood Centre, but since 2024 it has been a subsidised school, and was authorised by the Consejeria de Educaci\u00f3n of Balearic Islands in November 2008.<\/p>\n

CEP Mafalda first opened its doors in 1980 and was previously located in the Es Viver neighbourhood of Ibiza. In 2004, we moved to Playa d’en Bossa, San Jordi, San Jos\u00e9, to adapt to the general state and regional regulations established for early childhood education centres (R.D.1004-1991, D. 60-2008). Currently our centre has facilities specifically designed for children from 0 to 3 years old; our location has an indoor space of 400 m2 and 460m2 of outdoor space. <\/p>\n

In 2001 the current management team took charge of the nursery school, introducing Psychomotricity as the centre\u2019s methodology, and started the psychomotor office, as well as training in Psychomotricity under the guidance and direction of Psicopraxis.<\/p>\n

Our team has been trained in the Master in Psychomotricity and other training courses according to the pioneering methodology of Carmen Pascual (Psicopraxis). In addition, the team is constantly recycling and updating its knowledge by taking CEP training courses, attending congresses and educational conferences.<\/p>\n

CEP Mafalda is currently the only psychomotricity centre in Ibiza.<\/p>\n

The nursery school and the psychomotricity therapy office articulate and make up the psychomotricity centre: CEP Mafalda.<\/p>\n

It is made up of a team of experienced<\/span>, motivated professionals who are passionate about education.<\/span><\/p>\n

The methodology, organisation and structure of CEP Mafalda has been developed and coordinated by the school’s psycho-pedagogical team.<\/span><\/p>\n

All members of the team have the relevant and specific qualifications for the early childhood education stage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our centre has an internship agreement with the UIB and the Cuart\u00f3 de Portmany Institute and each year welcomes students on internships from the University of the Balearic Islands’ Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and the Higher Level Training Cycle in Early Childhood Education. The students who train with us make it possible for them to <\/span>We are able to develop innovative activities and additional day-to-day support.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
